Hi, I am Kaci. I finally understood the importance of life insurance after my dad was suddenly killed in 2015. I was still on maternity leave, Christmas was 3 days away, and now we had to plan a funeral with $65 in my bank and my dad had $11 left in his account. No policy in place. The week of Christmas included hosting all my family that came into town for the holidays and to grieve my dad, tending my new born, and throwing multiple fundraisers to raise funds in the middle of a snow storm. The fact my dad spent Christmas in a morgue because we couldn't afford anything for another week or so still haunts me to this day.
